Nightlife
Alicante is known for its frenetic and particularly Spanish nightlife. It's relatively uncommon in Alicante for people to spend all night at the one bar or club. Instead the tradition is to 'crawl' , sampling the delights of a number of establishments.
Club Z
Those looking for early morning action should head to Club Z, a popular place just off Plaza de Gabriel Miró. It's a slick discoteca with a dress code to match. Needless to say, stumbling drunks in 'kiss me quick' t-shirts will not be admitted.

Celestial Copas
Celestial Copas is a heavenly combination of kitsch religious art/junk and great music. One too many sangrias and you'll feel as if you're on the set of The Passion of the Christ as directed by Baz Luhrmann.

You're not short of entertainment options down at the port, and if you're up for a seriously mellow night then aim for Tropiscafo. It's is a breezy, laid-back bar that beams out good recorded jazz and begs you to just kick back, sangria in hand, and watch the sun set.

Compañía Haddock
In the lively port area, Compañía Haddock is easily recognised by the image of Tintin's grizzled sidekick that adorns the outside of the building. If you're not sure what Captain Haddock looks like, just follow the noise for a rowdy good time.

Right in the centre of the action, this El Barrio club/dance bar is a great place to funk the house down or simply chill to its ambient musical offerings. It's an odd marriage but sometimes you can also catch some good jazz here too.
